Why does an R100 sit too low at the rear?
The visual height of a café racer combines spring sag, shock length, wheel and tyre dimensions, frame and seat proportions. A low-looking tail does not by itself prove that a longer shock is right. Measure unloaded and rider sag, note remaining travel and inspect the shock and mounting points first.
What differs between R100R and R100GS?
Both are Paralever BMWs, but their intended use, wheel package and chassis geometry differ. A shock selected for one cannot be assumed to give the same ride height or handling on the other. Front suspension, load and tyre sizes belong in the same assessment.
What does Diamond Atelier offer?
The Wilbers × Diamond Atelier Signature rear shock is available for BMW R100R and R100GS as an individual component and as part of a complete Diamond Atelier build. The configuration is selected for the motorcycle, rider, load and intended use. Specific dimensions, spring and adjustment specification belong in the individual offer rather than a blanket fitment claim.
What information is needed?
Send the model and year, current shock, rider and luggage weight, wheel and tyre sizes, fork changes and the symptom you want to solve. We can then discuss the Signature shock and, if relevant, the complete Mark II Evo concept. Request an individual configuration.
