ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING
Custom 26650 LiFePO4 starter batteries
We build bespoke starter battery assemblies using A123 26650 LiFePO4 cells. Each electrical string has four cells in series. The number of parallel strings, enclosure, connections and placement are specified for the individual motorcycle after we review its starting demand, charging system and available space.
Our BMW Airhead work includes a slim LFP battery in a carbon sleeve for a suitable frame tube and a separate LFP pouch-pack solution beside the mo.unit carrier beneath the tank. The custom A123 26650 service is specified independently; its enclosure and location depend on the space and electrical requirements of your motorcycle.

Crankshaft lightening and precision balancing
Crankshaft work is considered as part of the complete engine concept. We review the donor, intended use and associated rotating components before proposing lightening or fine balancing. The work is specified individually rather than offered as a universal modification.
ENGINE WORK
Dual ignition for BMW Airhead boxers
A second spark plug per cylinder can be considered as part of a carefully specified BMW two-valve engine build. Whether it is worthwhile depends on the combustion chamber, compression, ignition system and intended use. We review the cylinder heads and existing components before specifying the mechanical work, coils, wiring and ignition curve. A stock engine does not automatically benefit from the conversion.
GEARBOX ENGINEERING
BMW Airhead gearbox rebuilding and tailored ratios
Diamond Atelier rebuilds BMW two-valve boxer gearboxes and can specify longer or shorter gear ratios to suit the rider and motorcycle. A taller ratio can lower engine speed at a given road speed; a shorter ratio changes the drive character at low speeds. The right combination depends on the gearbox, final drive, wheel size, engine, load and intended use. We inspect the gearbox and discuss the complete drivetrain before choosing parts or confirming scope.
SURFACE ENGINEERING
Formula 1–inspired piston coating
For suitable engine projects, Diamond Atelier offers a specialist low-friction piston coating inspired by motorsport applications. A correctly specified coating on the piston skirt is intended to reduce friction and protect the contact surface during run-in, cold starts and other demanding lubrication conditions. We assess the pistons, cylinders and running clearance before recommending the treatment. The process remains proprietary; suitability and the treated surfaces depend on the individual engine.
